“Jesus Is King”: A Sunday Service Experience with Kanye West

Kanye West and his incredible band and choir did a special live stream event, Sunday Service Experience with Kanye West and the Sunday Service Collective at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. “Now that I am in service to Christ, my job is to spread the gospel, to let people know what Jesus has done for me…and in that I am no longer a slave. I am a son now, a son of God. I am free.” – Kanye West

According to Billboard.com, Houston is the latest city to host Kanye West‘s Sunday Service Experience, but those who couldn’t make it to Joel Osteen’s megachurch on Sunday (November 17, 2019) could still tune into for the performance Live on Youtube.

West’s incredible band played and his amazing choir sang through songs off Jesus Is King, Kanye’s chart-topping gospel debut album. From Coachella to Detroit and now Houston, fans have been able to follow West from their own screens as Jesus Is King grows from a work in progress to a No. 1 album.

Since organizing his first Sunday Service choir in January 2019, Kanye has been embracing the light of God and spreading his message with full conviction. West brought the service to cities and towns all over the country and already won over crowds in Houston, holding a moving performance for the inmates at Harris County Jail in Houston earlier in the week before heading to Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church on Sunday, November 17, 2019, after the pastor personally invited Kanye West following the superstar’s renewed commitment to Christianity.
